The Sketchbook Project is a constantly evolving library of artists' sketchbooks, contributed by more than 22,000 creative individuals from across the globe.
The Sketchbook Project encourages artists from diverse backgrounds — working artists, full-time parents, busy professionals, students — to share their process with each other and the public. Participants sign up online to receive a blank sketchbook, fill the book with work in any form and mail it to Brooklyn. The results are cataloged and archived in a publicly accessible storefront library and exhibited on tour in cities and towns around the world.
I worked with a small, Brooklyn-based team to organize two global, traveling exhibitions, manage an online network of more than 60,000 artists, and exhibit submissions from more than 120 countries on six continents.
