The Silent Barn is a live performance venue, a home for artists and musicians and an experiment in collectively directed organization.

Since 2004, The Silent Barn has served as a hub for underground music and performance in NYC. As a multidisciplinary live-work environment, Silent Barn practices a "Do It Together" ethos with a new generation of NYC artists, curators and bands, while providing a platform for musicians to perform seven nights a week.

In the aftermath of a traumatic burglary in 2011, a committee formed to rebuild The Silent Barn in a new space. The Silent Barn reopened in 2013, guided by a community of more than 70 residents, curators, and organizers. We're transforming a 9,000 sq. ft. mixed-use property in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn into an artists' residency program, performance venue and collective of public project spaces.

The Silent Barn celebrated its second birthday at 603 Bushwick Avenue in January 2015.
